Change to QPIDS accreditation standards

Jul 27, 2020
The QPIDS accreditation programme will on Tuesday 1 September be moving over to a new set of standards. The new standards were developed in 2019 following the work of a multidisciplinary subgroup of the QPIDS steering group. The standards were then sent out for public consultation to get feedback from services and patient groups. From 1 September the QPIDS website’s self-assessment tool will change to reflect the new standards. Registered services will therefore no longer be able to submit evidence on the existing standards.

If you are currently in the process of submitting evidence for your self-assessment, you will need to sign off your submission by Monday 31 August, in order to have an assessment on the existing standards. If this is going to impact your service, please get in touch with us so that we can discuss how we can support you.

The QPIDS team are planning a virtual training session for services in the autumn to update them on the standards. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the QPIDS team on [email protected]
